A different approach to care and support

There’s no question about it: our patients are at the heart of our care. After all, active, holistic and rehabilitative care is an essential part of successful treatment. The ongoing involvement of relatives in our work is also an integral part of our unique approach to care.

It is you – as part of our team – who make the difference in care and support. That is why, at the Schömberg Children’s Hospital, we have created a working environment that stands out from other hospitals and care facilities. We have time to provide personalised care. This is reflected not only in the positive outcomes we achieve, but also in the positive feedback you receive from patients and their families.

As part of your role here, you will naturally have access to state-of-the-art equipment and aids designed to protect your back whilst working. A flexible rota system, which we tailor closely to the individual needs of team members, gives you the freedom you need for yourself and your family. And a wide range of training and further development opportunities not only ensures that you are always up to date professionally, but also provides the necessary impetus for your career.

    Getting started in care

The perfect start at the Schömberg Children’s Hospital. Following a warm welcome, you’ll receive important information to ensure a successful start and have the opportunity to make your first connections. During your first few weeks, experienced colleagues will support you so that you can settle in well at your new workplace. You’ll also have regular feedback sessions to help you develop both personally and professionally.

The Schömberg Children’s Hospital is a specialist neurological hospital with 62 beds. We treat infants, children, adolescents and young adults with a wide variety of neurological conditions. For you, this means a broad and interesting range of services. But don’t worry – we still maintain a personal touch, thanks to short lines of communication and direct contact.

At the Schömberg Children’s Hospital, we have flat hierarchies and short lines of communication – and that’s what makes us unique! Here at the hospital, we particularly value our positive working atmosphere and the close-knit bonds within our small, manageable teams. Here, you’re not just part of a workplace, but part of a family. Welcome to the team!

Here at the Children’s Hospital, we work with you to ensure that your personal life and your work fit together as well as possible. With flexible working time arrangements and a reliable rota, you can organise your time in the best possible way.

Wir schaffen Raum für Sie. Die Kinderklinik hat einen höheren Personalschlüssel als andere Kliniken, dadurch haben wir mehr Zeit für die individuelle Pflege unserer Patient:innen.

Whether you’ve just qualified or have switched specialisms – we offer a wide range of professional development opportunities. From alternative methods such as aromatherapy to breathing therapy, we’re happy to help you expand your professional expertise. And if you’re still looking for further development opportunities? Then simply get in touch with us.

Our aim is to provide state-of-the-art training and working conditions. We rely on digital care documentation and patient records, as well as e-learning training programmes.

We offer a workplace with an attractive living environment, plenty of opportunities for leisure activities and a wide range of sporting pursuits. The Schömberg Children’s Hospital has its own kitchen, where meals are freshly prepared every day, with a preference for regional produce. In addition to the necessary special dietary requirements, two freshly prepared menus are offered daily, including halal options.

You won’t find a dusty, old-fashioned hospital atmosphere here. The Schömberg Children’s Hospital is constantly being modernised. From the bright and welcoming entrance hall, through modern staff rooms and wards, to contemporary patient rooms – here you can work in a genuinely comfortable environment.
